High fliers Milford Haven were in no mood to give St Clears any favours at the Observatory and against a scratch side the home side were able to score their first try through their lock J Passmore within three minutes of the start and five minutes later winger C Thomas had scored another one. Both tries were converted and 14 points to nil within eight minutes had the visitors reeling.

To their credit however despite fighting a rear guard action throughout they managed to keep the score down to only one further try in the first half through number eight S Dolling. Indeed outside half Shane Morgan almost turned an interception into a try shortly afterwards.for the visitors who were rewarded with a penalty which Morgan slotted over to put some points on the board and in the circumstances a very creditable half time score at 19 points to three.

That regrettably was the best of it for the visitors and the home side were soon back in scoring action in the second half, almost immediately a converted try and then at regular intervals a further five tries and a final score of 55 to 3.
